When you have 3rd & 8 AND the quarterback in a fetal position eight yards behind the line of scrimmage, don't let him pick up 17 yards. Just that simple. 2017 has been the year of where 3rd and 8 or longer seems to be no problem picking up. See it week in and out, college and pro. Pay attention to it next weekend and see how many times our defense shuts down 1st and 2nd, only to disappear for 3rd down. Get off the field.
